In 10.6, you press escape inside a dashboard widget and it performs a function wtihin the widget (e.g. clearing a calculator result etc.), because the dashboard (F4) key is used to show/hide the dashboard. I've managed to re-map my f4 key to open/close the dashboard, but in Lion (10.7) the escape key now hides the dashboard, impeding functionality of some widgets.
If you know of any way to restore the old escape key functionality, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
