I have a triple monitor setup where I do not use the third monitor most of the time. The third monitor is connected to a receiver which is connected to the PC using HDMI.
The problem is that everytime the receiver turns on, Linux thinks there is another monitor connected and moves all the gnome panels from monitor 2 to monitor 3.
I wrote a script that corrects this but I have to run it manually everytime the receiver turns on. Is there a way to hook into the displayport hotplug event? This is on a ATI HD 5800 with fglrx installed.
