I'm using a USB keyboard with my laptop. After half an hour of use, the keyboard starts performing shortcut functions without me pressing the Windows key.

For example, M minimises all windows, R opens Run, E opens My Computer.

If I restart the computer, it works fine for another 30 minutes, but then does it again. The laptop keyboard does not work due to liquid infestation (red wine).

Laptop is old Dell Inspiron 1300 Keyboard is stand Microsoft.

It is definitely not the laptop keyboard as sometimes that springs to life with continuous KKKKKKKKKKKKKKK (but I've slowed down the key repetition).

It must be the USB keyboard as I am very aware of what key press launches each shortcut.

Are you sure that it's not the half-dead internal keyboard interfering? Do you have another keyboard to connect to the laptop, or another computer to connect the keyboard to to make sure we're diagnosing the correct device? – Daniel Beck Jan 29 at 9:55
