We have an office network on the 192.168.2.x subnet.

I am connecting in to this from my home mac via VPN. However, as soon as I connect, the internet connection at WORK goes very slow.

My home network is on 192.168.1.x so shouldn't be a conflict here?

My mac routing table before VPN:

What kind of link does the office have, ADSL or fiber? Is this the same for everyone connecting via VPN or just you? Do other machines or operating systems cause the same problem? – Mokubai Feb 5 at 10:58
The office has a fibre connection so plenty of bandwidth. I am the only VPN user but can connect to other VPNs without an issue. It's almost as though the office traffic is being routed over my home connection – Ben Sebborn Feb 8 at 18:01
What's the output of traceroute -n google.com from a machine on the office network while you're connected to the VPN? What VPN software are you using, and what device is the VPN server at the office? What's the system load on the office router and VPN server while you're connected? – mgorven Apr 27 at 17:03
