I have a 2.4ghz core duo macbook pro 15"...
I was wondering if it is worth upgrading for me to a newer core i7 15" macbook pro
the specific thing I'm wondering is how much faster a SINGLE CORE @ 2.2 or 2.4ghz on an i7 runs compared to a single core 2.4ghz core duo...
if a single core is not faster by much or at all then it is not worth upgrading... I'm talking about general cpu stuff, don't care about multimedia enhancements.
anyone know anything about this?
p.s. just so people don't think I'm confused.. I know that these are all multi-core processors, I'm just concerned about the speed of one of their cores...
