Can anyone point me to a site / resource that offers up to date advice on what hardware components work well with each other? I'm about to rebuild a PC I built a few years back, but I haven't kept up on all the hardware changes.

Ideally I'd love to see a list showing well matched combos of motherboard, CPU, RAM, graphics cards, etc. with recommended power, form factor, etc.

I've been searching through the NewEgg and TigerDirect sites, and they tend to offer narrow selections of pre-matched items (eg. motherboard and processor only). I'm sure there's a resource like I need somewhere out there.

Thanks

Sounds like a shopping request which does not really fit here Please rview the FAQ superuser.com/faq – Dave M Feb 10 at 15:53

@Dave M-- no, I'm not asking for shopping advice-- I'm asking for advice on shopping advice ;). There's dozens of threads, both open and closed, with specific build data-- I'm trying to ask a useful, generic question that will provide resources for the future users as well as myself, rather than "is this a good card?" – user101289 Feb 10 at 16:04
