Total commander is an awsome tool, but I'm looking for something freeware.
I've tried muCommander, and I just don't like it. Are there any other good similiar programs, preferably freeware?

Being multi-platform and distributed under an open-source license, it is freely usable on virtually any platform and operating system.
Double Commander, a relatively new kid on the block, is showing some potential (cross-platform, rip the installer with Universal Extractor if you like 'em portable)
Two-Dirs is another free and feature-packed alternative to Total Commander, a portable version is available.
the website is in German, the software in English & German, direct link to the portable version. P.S. like the other clones mentioned here, they are by no means a match for the Big Daddy. Total Commander may not be free but certainly worth every single penny. | ||||
