I try to run a Java based applications, and I get gibberish for the font. I do not know what I have done that has caused this, as they used to look just fine. It's been like this for a number of months. I do not know what I changed to cause this.

Keep in mind that I'm technologically illiterate so be gentle.

Welcome to Super User! Please note that you can upload the image to a site like Imgur or Snaggy and post the link here so we can do this for you. After gaining a small bit of reputation you are able to do this yourself, this is merely as a prevention against people spamming images using new accounts. Two questions: Can I safely assume that you are using Windows? What application are you trying to run? – Tom Wijsman Feb 15 '12 at 3:10
