While trying to connect to the oracle from my application(Windows). I am getting this error.

Cannot connect to ORACLE: -1 : 0

The server used is Oracle 11g and the client is also Oracle 11g

Just trying to make sure it's not a network problem, can you telnet to the port of the server? – Cristian Ciupitu Feb 27 '12 at 16:06
