My Hard disk just shows "Master Partition Table Corrupt" after I merged two partitions into one.

CHKDSK is not able to repair (MPT mirror is also damaged), TestDisk also is not able to repair. It is a NTFS Partition, Total Data is nearly 200GB (500GB Disk and 319GB Partition).

How did you merge the partitions? In DISKPART? or some other utility? – G Koe Mar 7 '12 at 14:19
Do you have a data backup that you can restore from? – G Koe Mar 7 '12 at 14:34
As long as the MFT is intact it can be recovered by a professional. – Moab Mar 7 '12 at 23:44
I was Merging a Simple Partition and an Extended Partition Which can not be done under Windows, I was Using Acronis Disk Director Bootable Media and MFT is Corrupt, MFT mirror is also Corrupt.I dont have any Backup. This was my Backup Drive. If the MFT is intact then even I can Recover it. – Akshat Mittal Mar 8 '12 at 3:25
