I'm in the market for a DVI switch (only DVI, no need for USB/etc), and I've found that most if not all are priced in the $xxx range. I remember in the past being able to get a simple VGA switch for like $20.

Am I just looking at the wrong products?

Alternatively, would it be possible to use an HDMI switch like this and just a bunch of DVI-HDMI adapters?

Would there be any issue with signal quality if I'm going this way?

DVI → DVI-HDMI Adapter → Switch → HDMI-DVI Adapter → Monitor

$55 and $28 respectively. The second is not a full KVM. DVI is less popular than VGA or HDMI or they might be cheaper.
