One of my friend will have a math related examination in collegue recently, she is not very good at calculus and she want me to find her a software to help as the examination allows bring computer.

I googled a while and I found there are too many choices. So can you recommend some calculus software that is easy to learn?

wow! is this still around? I had that on my 386 15 years ago and was easily the best that I had seen at the time. It had great support for symbolic calculus – Nathan Fellman Sep 13 '09 at 10:56
Probably very difficult to buy now it's discontinued, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derive_(computer_algebra_system) – Rob Kam Sep 13 '09 at 11:16

It depends what type of calculation is required.

A software might even not be needed, if the computer can have Internet access (not sure it's possible during an exam): Wolfram Alpha is great to do various calculation. And it even gives explanations on how they get the result for more complex ones.

Check this page for a lot of math examples, there are sub-pages for each section (elementary mathematics, numbers, algebra, ...).
