Check it with: Can You RUN It?

… and it is not about videogames or consoles, then you're in the right place to ask your question!

This is an iffy in-between question. I mean, technically the subject is the hardware. I think what they really want to avoid is questions like "how do i beat this objective in this game". – TM. Sep 13 '09 at 20:07
+1 for mentioning "Can you run it?". Sweet program. Make sure to un-install it when your done with it. – D'Arvit Sep 13 '09 at 20:18
Hardware requirements are on the back of the CD package and in game forums also, but I think it's ok relying on your argument :) – Milde Sep 13 '09 at 20:20
Good idea to add the reference to the superuser FAQ :) – alex Sep 13 '09 at 20:28
I think it's an ok question. I am by no means anybody to listen to as I am rather new but it does apply to pc hardware. Can you run it is also pretty sweet, I usually try to check it out before purchasing a game. – Daddy Su Sep 13 '09 at 21:50

There's a lot of other factors other than video card that are important, but yes, your GPU is definitely able to run that game, assuming your other parts are in order.

I'm also running a i7 intel chip, but I have windows 7 so its not officially supported then I guess. – user3183 Sep 13 '09 at 20:51
mind you, as of this writing there was no Windows 7. according to posts in the Windows7Forums, the game will play just fine: windows7forums.com/windows-7-games/1896-assassins-creed.html – Molly7244 Sep 13 '09 at 22:15
