How to select a value with the keyboard from a drop down list that is shown when composing a formula?

Select from drop down list

I tried the following:

  • Enter
  • Space
  • Alt-up or Alt-down as suggested here
  • F4 (the default close-up command for combo boxes)

I hate to do it because your question is better than the dupe (pics 'n' all) buuut it's the same question, so you should have put a comment and/or bounty on that one to get more/different answers. Maybe edit your info into it or something. Spruce it up. ;) Cheers! – Ƭᴇcʜιᴇ007 Apr 11 '12 at 23:06
@techie007 It is not the same question: the other is about a combobox form element, this is about the listbox in the inline formula composer. Note also that the answers differ. – NGLN Apr 12 '12 at 3:47

Please find below link from Allen Wyatt's website.

I was also looking for this also before but didn't bother to find out until I've read this post.

The answer is "TAB" key after you have selected the function/formula from the list by arrow down/up key.
