I have an Acer laptop. When I turn it on, the screen turns on and then turns off before the Windows 7 login screen appears. The screen won't turn on unless I press Fn+F4 and F4 again. What is causing this?

It may help if you tell us what function f4 has assigned to it as this is vendor (possibly model) specific. At the very least provide the model number so someone can look it up. – Not Kyle stop stalking me Apr 16 '12 at 20:27
Note: [Fn]+[F4] is the sleep/wake key on Acer laptops. – iglvzx Apr 16 '12 at 20:29
