When I deleted the programs related to the buffalo ministation my windows 7 computer crashed. I used the system repair disc and then I ran the system repair, system restore, system image recovery, windows memory diagnostic and now all I have left is the windows\system32\cmd.exe prompt. I am trying to learn how to do needed repairs. I am new to this and want to learn how restore this computer. This is a Sony Vaio running Windows 7 Premium; Microsoft Windows Version 6.1.7600. It is actually fun learning about this part of the 'life' of computers.

As far as I can see, the simplest method (if possible) is to reinstall the operating system. This will delete any data you have on the computer, though, so you should back it up using command prompt. You can copy files using this. – annonymously May 2 '12 at 23:25
Can you clarify what you have done exactly? System Image Recovery to a stock image should fix nearly everything... – BinaryMage May 3 '12 at 4:37
