You can probably turn this speedStep stuff OFF in your BIOS. Then, when your computer's doing nothing, it will do nothing twice as fast. (Ha ha ha.) The reason I turn SpeedStep off on software development computers is because I want it always on top speed, so my software profiling applications will give accurate repeatable timings. – Warren PMay 5 '12 at 21:49
