How do I repair this fault? I cannot get Media Centre to display and ctherefore change a Media Library. The following window pops up. "Media Library A necessary component of Windows Media Center did not start properly. Restart Windows Media Center."

Ugh, this plagued me for weeks on WMC/Vista. In my case, it was installation of a different media player that really corrupted WMC. System Restore, fortunately did the trick for me. – ckhan May 7 '12 at 20:16
