I recently acquired a very-well-cared-for MacBook Pro 4/320 (born 04/2010) whose previous owner re-installed the factory settings to OS X 10.6.3 (Snow Leopard). I booted up my new machine and ran the Software Update. Then bad things happened: my MBP froze up while cycling thru the install stage after the download (which I see is common from dozens of Google searches).
Should I bother upgrading? Other than upgrading Safari to 5.1 (and the 250 new features of Lion, inc. Resume, AutoSave, and Versions?) perhaps I should leave good enough alone... help.
