I recently bought the Intel SSD 330 series of 120 gb. I really enjoy it when it is fully loaded, however. When i start up my PC is stays for about 20-30 sec on loading OS. Wich is very much slower than my hdd..

Is this normal? can I fix this?

Thanks in advance

Motherboard model and CPU would help as well... 1) Is it set to boot in AHCI mode, RAID mode, or IDE mode? 2) What operating system? Windows XP SP3 and higher should support the speeds of an SSD (plus the whole TRIM) 3) I assume the OS is loaded onto the SSD and it's not just a storage drive... Correct me if I'm wrong 3a) If it is loaded on the SSD, was it an image moved over, or a fresh install onto the SSD? –  Canadian Luke May 16 '12 at 23:14

intel I7 2600K, motherboard from Gigabyte. don't know the exact model. 1) It is now set to IDE, but tried AHCI, it didn't matter. 2) W7 x64 3) on the SSD 3a) fresh install –  Jasper May 16 '12 at 23:16

have you tried running Windows Experience Index? If it's anything lower than 7 then it might be your SSD has some problems, which you might need to replace/send back to the shop. –  fooyoong May 17 '12 at 0:39

It has a index of 7.9 –  Jasper May 17 '12 at 8:13
