I tried searching on the internet but found no recent information. Someone said the NT kernel is preemptible, except for the exec. Is it the same today?

The short answer is "Yes it still is", although I'm not sure what you mean by "except the exec"? Why do you think it's changed? In regards to Superuser: What's the computer problem you're trying to solve? – techie007 May 23 '12 at 21:08
By exec I was meaning the "Executive" part of the kernel. Maybe this should belong to another stack exchange website? I was asking for no particular reason just curiosity, I'm trying to learn how OS function and couldn't find this answer elsewhere. – Adi May 24 '12 at 6:21
