I have one server on which i am having some data. Now I want that this data should automatically be transferred to another linux server. So how can i proceed further? My one server on which data is : 10.66.26.74 Server on which want to copy that data : 10.66.26.92 Sp please mention all steps one by one in a simple manner as early as possible.

Please check superuser.com/questions/how-to-ask ans show us what you have tried and why that doesn't work. Also please tag your question correctly, you refer to two linux machines but you've tagged the question as [mac], why is that? –  Bram May 24 '12 at 6:47

You have quite few options here:

  1. You could go with SFTP copy.
  2. SCP is another option
  3. rsync tool can be great if you transfer lots of data and expect failures (like network outages) while copying.

If you use SFTP then in case you experience failure you have to do it all over again as you might not know what was copied and what not. I would go for rsync.
