My computer has been having this issue since last night. It's a self built desktop with:

  • Intel i5 Processor
  • ASRock Z68 Motherboard
  • Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD
  • Crucial m4 64gb SSD

I have Windows installed on the Crucial, but I keep my documents and files on the Seagate.

The problem is this: I will be using the computer like normal, and then my taskbar will freeze. The entire computer will then freeze, and shut itself off.

The computer then starts back up, and hangs on the Windows Boot Manager, saying

File: \Windows\system32\winload.exe
Status: 0xc000000e
Info: The selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt.

Any idea what could be causing this? It's obviously some kind of hardware problem. It's been hot out lately, is it possible that the CPU is overheating?
