If you are running Windows 8 Release Preview, you can find out the expiry date by typing in "winver" in the command prompt. –  Leo Jun 1 '12 at 8:53

To get the expiry date of Windows 8 consumer preview, you should run winver either from the search function in the source menu, or simply run the command from "run"

This will open the "About Windows" window, which will show the version and expiry date of the Windows CP install.

In this case its 16-1-2013

The Release Preview expires one day after the Consumer Preview expires, on January 16, 2013.

A static answer like this isn't too helpful because it has already changed a couple of times and may do so again. –  Synetech Jul 16 '12 at 20:05
