I bought a 10 mbps DSL Internet. Though, there was a catch that I've overlooked – this is only within Philippines. The connection with other continents is pretty poor, download speed is roughly 500 kbps. What if I would purchase a dedicated server somewhere in Philippines, setup VPN on it and this way get a speedy connection with the rest of the world. Is that possible or am I overlooking something? |

That would work, although you'd need to take a careful look at the bandwidth and costs of the dedicated server to avoid the same problem. The underlying constraint is probably the international link to the Philippines being maxed out. |
