I have experience with installing Ubuntu 11.10 Acer Aspire 4741 The plan, I want it dual booting Ubuntu with Windows XP, therefore I partition the drive so there is a blank space for Ubuntu.. But once I get into the installation process, the placement of Ubuntu, I do not have a partitioned hard drive, Ubuntu only detect the entire hard drive, also added Ubuntu does not detect any other Operating System...

Is there any reason why you don't want to virtualize Ubuntu using a free virtualization software such as VMWare Player or VirtualBox? – Paul Jun 16 '12 at 14:12
