I'll open with I'm somewhat computer savvy, and extremely network retarded.

That being said, I have a wireless capable labtop (box1) connected-by-wire to my wireless router which is connected-by-wire to my AP-router. I also have a desktop (box2) in the living room that is NOT wireless capable connected-by-wire to a second wireless router.

Box1 - router1
Box2 - router2

I'm attempting to bridge the connections using windows 7.
Please note that box2 runs XP

So---- INTERNET--->Router1--->Box1---->router2---Box2
^ That would be my desired internet traffic.

I use my labtop to bridge my "wired connection to the internet" with my "wireless connection to the dead box2 in the living room."

Its too easy to grab the two connections and bridge them. However, my box2 in the living room still has no internet apparently. What have I done wrong? (Note I got this to work for about 18 hours about a week ago, and something went wrong since then, but I KNOW it can work, as it did... for a while)

Also note this question seemed to be similar, but the answer was not the idiot friendly 'for dummies' networking answer I needed.

14 views and not even a comment? Is this a nightmare issue or is it an easily solvable one? can someone at least direct me in the right place to look if its something realistically self-repairable? – Ender Jun 18 '12 at 14:52
