I recently obtained a new laptop, and I've noticed that some sound comes out of my head phones, some comes out my laptop's speakers, and even sometimes both.

I've tried disabling the speakers, setting the head phones as a default, but nother has worked.

Can somebody please tell me how to make everything go to my ear phones?

Generally if you plug your headphones into the receptacle it blocks all sounds except special beeps, for example plugging and unplugging the power while the computer is on. Is that what you are talking about? There is not enough information here. – Xavierjazz Jun 28 '12 at 2:02
Add your OS as a tag. – Pubby Jun 28 '12 at 2:24

Important info is missing. What's your OS and laptop model? – slhck Jun 28 '12 at 7:53
