Is it possible that I turned off the Mouse Power and the Keyboard Power by Accidentally Typing in a Key Code Shortcut?

I need the Keycode Shortcuts to power up/down my mouse and keyboard. I'm using XP Home Edition.

I mostly use my Onscreen Input Keyboard that comes with my XP Home Edition and I was using it at the time. I noticed the green plug for my Desktop Keyboard had vibrated out from the back of my Tower. When I noticed this, I plugged it in and it powered up. Everything was working great. Shortly after this my power cord to my Linksys Wireless G WiFi stopped working and I've replaced this cord since.

My Wireless WiFi is working great with my Acer Laptop W7 and my new iPod Touch (iOS 5).

My iPod was syncing with my laptop at the same time as my Wireless WiFi power cord failed. I have iTunes in my desktop as well but as far as I know desktop isn't set up to sync with my iPod or my Laptop, yet. I need to set up my Home Network first, for all 3 to sync.

My Monitor is working great but I can't type anything to access my desktop or my XP Home Edition OS and my BIOS (My problem)!

Can anyone help?

Have you tried another keyboard? it's possible that yours could be bad – Nate Koppenhaver Jul 14 '12 at 23:48
Hi Gene. Welcome to SuperUser. Your question is quite difficult for me to follow in its current form. Is there a way you can edit it to make it more clear? – user3463 Jul 14 '12 at 23:52
The green plug makes me think PS/2. Perhaps the keyboard port is acting up. Could you try a USB keyboard? – JoshP Jul 15 '12 at 5:08
