I tried to create a USB installer for Windows XP (SP3) inside of Linux, but the installer fails to load due to an issue with the BOOTMGR.
I created the USB installer by mounting the USB drive, and the Windows ISO I had created when I first got my disks. I then formatted the drive to NTFS and ensured that it had the bootable flag. After that, I copied all of the files from the mounted ISO to the freshly formatted USB drive, and then finally used ms-sys to put a Windows XP MBR on the drive.
I'd like to note that the machine I'm trying to use the installer on does support USB booting, and I have configured it correct. I also want to mention that I would be using the installer disks if it were possible for me to.
