When I click on "my library", then "all media", real player freezes and takes 100% cpu.

Any workaround?

Ah, I've found the source of the problem. Realplayer is what is called in the technical term: crapware. – Macha Sep 22 '09 at 19:33

Well, you didn't provide us much information. But the best thing to do is to do a complete uninstall and reinstall.

My next suggestion is to avoid RealPlayer like the plague.

Try VLC instead.

Workaround:

1) Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs

2) Select RealPlayer

3) Click "Remove"

I second using VLC. It's lightweight, fast and reads pretty much any video format.

VLC can be attributed with a lot but certainly NOT 'lightweight' ... and the support for realmedia is 'dodgy' at best. – Molly7244 Sep 22 '09 at 18:38
