So, I have a Wii and an Apple CinemaDisplay monitor which has a single male MiniDisplay port connector, and I'd like know if it would be possible to get sound and video from one to the other. Here is my suggested chain of converters to make this work:

Is this going to work? Is there a better way?

I'm slightly horrified by the sheer number of connector conversions there, I'm sure that at least the component video to HDMI will be an active powered device. – Mokubai Aug 1 '12 at 17:46

Did you see the Amazon reviews on that miniDP F-to-F coupler? Sounds like that component all by itself won't work.
