I have Synergy 1.4.10 Installed on both Windows 7 64 bit computers, one a laptop and the other a desktop. I have configured the server and client parts of the config. Both server and client are connecting to each other, but the mouse will not switch from the server PC to client laptop.

Server log reads this:

NOTE: starting server
NOTE: config file: C:/Users/COPACE~1/AppData/Local/Temp/qt_temp.cr1824
NOTE: log level: NOTE
NOTE: started server, waiting for clients
NOTE: accepted client connection
NOTE: client "TheLlLLebowski" has connected

Client log reads this:

NOTE: starting client
NOTE: config file: C:/Users/ADMINI~1.NAN/AppData/Local/Temp/qt_temp.Ya4536
NOTE: log level: NOTE
NOTE: started client
NOTE: connecting to 'TheBlGLebowski': (IPADRESS):24800
NOTE: connected to server

So the two applications of synergy are connecting to each other, and receiving messages from each other when one disconnects or connects, but the mouse will not move from either screen to the other.

What am I doing wrong? I've read through the set up guide and followed it step by step, configured everything I can to the best of my abilities, but it will not respond to trying to mouse from the edge of server screen over to the client screen. Have I missed a step in the config or something additional that I have not picked up on?

I have the screens in the "Configure Server" window aligned properly and named as they appear in the applications for each computer.

Thank you for your time.

You should post the part of your settings file that contains the links section (that will help in helping you). (Also make sure you have restarted the server after you have updated the links). – Jontas Aug 9 '12 at 11:48
