What is the best online notepad?

I once used Google Notebook but Google no longer supports it and I don't want to put my stuff on an unsupported site. I now use Luminotes but I find editing of the text to be infuriating.

What is better?

Fwiw, many online tools mentioned in this question: superuser.com/questions/4549/what-is-your-notes-taking-tool. (Personally I'm still using Google Notebook as it's pretty good and it seems like they're keeping it around, even if new accounts cannot be created.) – Jonik Sep 24 '09 at 20:15

Have you tried already Evernote? You can even have native clients on your computer and phone.

Try out Google's replacement Google Docs which I find equally easy to use.

To me Google Docs seems far from perfect replacement, though I'm not sure if I can explain why... It's like using Word to manage simple plain text notes, instead of some powerful but lightweight text editor. – Jonik Sep 24 '09 at 20:23

You might want to try bespin.

bespin seems to be for editing code, not notes. Am I right? – user1413 Sep 24 '09 at 20:10

Primarily for code, yes. But not restricted to code. – Macha Sep 25 '09 at 6:27

One other notebook that you might wish to try is Zoho Notebook. It has been around for several years and allows you to import Google Notebook files. Plus, it has official extensions for both Firefox and Google Chrome.

TinyPad for sure!

You may also want to look at UberNote. They'll even import your Google Notebook notes. I've found them to be quite useful - especially with their FireFox toolbar.

NotePub is very hassle free and lets you set read/write permissions for each note and user.

After trying a whole bunch of apps, I decided that Google Wave works best!
