At some point during a session, my escape key, the tilde key and the tab key all stop working. A reboot brings them back so it is not a hardware problem. The programs that I run are Eclipse, Grep for windows, winscp, putty, firefox, internet explorer and a cisco vpn. All of this is within a Windows 7 virtual terminal and the OS there is XP Pro. I also use vim on occassion.

I think there must be something in some software somewhere that is causing these to all stop working (and at the same time) but I don't know which and I can't get it back other than by a reboot. Any suggestions?

One more thing. When these keys stop working in the virtual terminal running XP, they still work in the Windows 7 main system in other windows.
