Some packages have gone missing from my Ubuntu server and few things are not working because of that.

When I try to install mysql-client I get this error:

# sudo apt-get install mysql-client-5.1
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done

You might want to run 'apt-get -f install' to correct these:

try install localepurge. it should run immediately after install and you can select the languages you want to be available on the system. it looks like some are missing. –  Dave York Sep 19 '12 at 14:18
