I want to setup a recurring appointment on the same day of each month, but if that day falls on a weekend, I need to have it default to the last weekday. How can I do this?

I think the only way to achieve this is to check each occurrence individually and change it. I don't think there is a way to automate this.

May it help to alter your condition setting the recurring event to something like the following:

"on last Friday every 1 month"

If you need the (almost) middle of a month, how about that:

"second Friday every 1 month"

The question is about the appointment adjusting to the last weekday if the recurrence falls on a weekend. How does your answer apply to that? Can you explain how to do it, maybe with some screen shots? – CharlieRB Jan 2 at 15:10
If you set the condition of recurrence to "Friday" (first, second, last, etc.) it won't fall on a weekend, obviously. My attempt was to offer an alternative solution for tasks or maintenance jobs that have to be done on working days once a month. Sometimes you just need to change the point of view you start from… – Master of Celebration Jan 3 at 8:46
