Hi,

I have a problem with java in IE 7 (Not sure about other IE versions) When running as administrator IE loads the correct java plugin. But when running as a normal user it loads npjpi160_16.dll instead of jp2iexp.dll.

Does anyone have a solution for this? We are using Windows XP Servicepack 3 and IE7 on all our clients.

Found the solution, allow external browser extensions had to be enabled in IE 7 for it to run as it should on a normal user.

Head to Control Panel, Java. Click on Java tab, and click on View. Now, Disable the runtimes you don't want to be activated by unchecking the checkbox.

Java Runtime Select

I never asked how to run another JRE (major or minor). I asked why the same and the only JRE installed (6 u16) runs a different dll on nonadministrator accounts than it does on administrator accounts. – Jonas B Sep 28 at 12:40

When you installed the version of java that you want, did you install for all users?
