Excel 2010 has began changing my chart tab names from the ones that I set, back to "chart 1" "chart 2", etc.

I went through and changed them all to what I had set again, and the next day they were reverted back. Also, it has been changing my formula paths making the links not work anymore.

Not convinced this is happening "on its own"... there has to be something else that is causing this. Do other users have access to the Excel file? Is it being regenerated? Do you have custom macros or VBA executing in your Normal.dotm file? Are you not saving your changes to the file? I have no idea, but things don't change on their own for no reason. Are you sure the files you are opening are indeed the ones you saved 'yesterday' - eg do last modified dates/times make sense? – pnuts Sep 25 '12 at 22:27
These files are pretty large and when doing research yesterday I have decided to save them in binary format to see if it helps. – Alexis Sep 26 '12 at 12:23
