What are the scheduling algorithms used by operating sytems like WINDOWS and LINUX?

He most likely meant kernel process scheduling and switching. Take a look at "Inside Windows" for Windows, and there's probably a ton of info on the Internet for Linux. – Mark Allen Oct 13 '12 at 3:57
