Whenever I use Minitools Wizard to resize the partition on my phone's SD card it gives this error:

I've tried reformatting but still the same problem.

Have you tried deleting all existing partitions and creating them afresh as required? If that doesn't work, "I/O error" might indicate that the card's (going) bad. – Karan Oct 21 '12 at 21:15
@Karan Wouldn't reformatting do that? If no how do I do that? – Celeritas Oct 21 '12 at 21:18

Formatting formats the existing partition. I've not used "Minitools Wizard", but surely you should be able to select and delete all existing partitions. You may also be able to do the same via diskmgmt.msc on Windows, or GParted on Linux etc. – Karan Oct 21 '12 at 21:21
