Sticky Notes seems very useful and I want to use it for my day to day tasks.
But when I open Sticky Notes, it always sits in the taskbar. If I could move it to the System Tray, then that would be very helpful.
By default Windows 7's Sticky Notes cannot be minimised to the tray. Either of the following should work (the first adds this missing feature among others, the second is a 3rd party notes utility with this feature):
I was annoyed with Sticky Notes Taskbar Hider, it simply didn't work, no matter what I did. I had to always or almost always hide Sticky Notes manually through the tray icon on Windows startup. So I wrote Notes Hider which does the trick for me. Just add it to Windows startup and whenever Sticky Notes is started, the icon is removed from the taskbar.
It doesn't add a tray icon, but do we really need this after all? In any case, if you still would like to be able to exit from Sticky Notes, you could kill the process at worst, either through task manager, or combining Hidden Start with the
