I am using a datacard in mac mini running mountain lion.Whenever the datacard softeware is not working properly, I force close that application. I could not open it again successfully so I restarted my mac mini , it shows white screen long time without apple symbol. I then did force shut down through pressing power button for longtime. When I powered the system on again,Mac says "you shut down for a problem", and then everything works properly. My questions are:

  1. Why doesn't the data card software function properly?

  2. Why am I unable to restart the software for the datacard after i close it forcefully?

  3. Why does white screen come very long time after restarting, booting operation is not happening?

  4. If I do force shutdown often through pressing power button, will it give internal hardware problem(YES or NO) for avoiding that whitescreen?
