I currently receive emails with a very very long subject line (generated by another system) of which I cannot see the end (specifically a date and time), despite widening the field as much as I can.

Can anybody suggest how can I either see the end of the subject line and sort by these criteria or preferably move the date and time text from the end to the beginning of the subject line so I can sort by it, perhaps using VB?

What version of Outlook? Are you referring to viewing it in the Inbox or in the preview/reading pane? Can you give us an example of one of the Subject lines you get? – CharlieRB Nov 15 '12 at 18:46
Why don't you just shorten the subject that is generated? – Ramhound Nov 15 '12 at 22:59
