I currently have a Thinkpad T520 with the Realtek RTL8188CE. I'd like to upgrade this to an Intel wifi card that works well with Linux.

  • What do I need to know about in terms of attaching any antennas external to the wifi adapter?
  • I understand only certain cards will work with Thinkpads because of regulatory and/or nonsense reasons, so what should I look out for buying?
  • Anything else I should know?
