After recently installing Windows 8 on my machine (Asus Laptop), I noticed my webcam was showing the image upside-down (in the camera app and in Skype). I figured it would need a driver re-install, so after looking for the proper driver, the screen flipped over again and it worked properly after testing it with skype.

Or so I thought, when I tried using the Camera App, it could not detect a webcam in use. I think it's a compatibility issue at play here.

So my question is: Am I doomed to wait for a proper driver update which is compatible with Windows 8, or is there another solution/workaround available?
