Since the Stackoverflow/Superuser/Serverfault trilogy is missing a site dedicated to designers using Photoshop, Flash, Fireworks, and the like, what is the most active community on the web to ask (newbie) Photoshop questions and get answers quickly, e.g. post a picture, describe what you want to do, and have someone explain how to use the tools to get it done?

Not that I think this is a bad topic, but this question belongs on Meta. However, as long as there is no photoshop stackexchange site, I wouldn't mind seeing them here – Ivo Flipse Oct 5 '09 at 5:28

You might try Doctype. It’s for front end web guys rather than designers in general, but it’s probably worth copying and pasting your questions in there as well.

The Adobe forums were very helpful when I was learning Illustrator a few years back.

If you're still learning the tools, a book like the Photoshop Missing Manual may be a better place to start.

There are a number of sites set up using the Stack Exchange engine aimed at photography, such as photography.angle - you may find people able to answer your photoshop questions there..
