When I switch the power on my computer will not start properly but what happen is:

  • the CPU fan will burst from 1/10 of turn and after nothing.
  • the light of the front panel will flash one time
  • the light on the mother board is green and bright

I already remove all no needed component, clear the CMOS and clean the hardware part following this article from hardwaresecrets

I don't have another computer for check the part. Is somebody known where it's can come from before I have to check all part one by one with another computer?

Hardware:

  • Motherboard: Asus P5WD2 rev. 1
  • Graphic card: Asus
  • Power supply: Ultra Xconnect ATX 500W

Any POST beeps? if you don't have an internal speaker, you might want to get one so you can hear the POST beeps, otherwise, you can get a POST card that will read the code off for you. It is easier to use the built-in diagnostic tools than play the guessing game by moving parts around. – MaQleod Nov 25 '12 at 20:18

Could the motherboard have a particular connector that it receives extra power on? For example, back in the days of the P4, with the P4, you got a symptom like that if you didn't plug in the 2x2 cable from the power supply to the motherboard. – barlop Nov 25 '12 at 20:30
