How can I configure cygwin to show file size in bytes when I do 'ls -l'?

I get size in bytes under ubuntu, but not in cygwin.

how can i fix it?

Try this :

ls -s --block-size=1k


ls -s --block-size=8k

And to make it work all the time, add in ~/.bashrc alias ls='ls -s --blocksize=1k' and then it will always work (after log out/back in that is) – Justin Nov 28 '12 at 0:37
