IE9 keeps crashing on my desktop PC. It wont play videos, and some sites don't load properly.

I am running Windows 7 and have latest version of Adobe Flash installed.

  • I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Java 7.
  • I have tried all of the addon suggestions from both Adobe and Microsoft

As a comparison, my laptop is running Windows Vista, IE9 and the latest Adobe Flash player. It has no issues in the same sites.

Does anyone know what is going on?

there are so many things it could be - I have no experience with IE, but have you tried disabling any add-ons one by one? An update to either IE or the addon could have broken it or just three way conflicts. Is your user profile/cache junked? Try clearing your entire browsing experience for IE (cache/cookies/history, etc). Do the same sites fail on another browser? If so, it is more likely an extension problem. If not, IE is the culprit. Have you installed any updates to IE via windows update? – im so confused Dec 12 '12 at 22:53
have you tried Running IE9 in Safe mode to determine whether it is an addon causing it? – Robotnik Dec 12 '12 at 23:08
use WER service to generate dumps and look at them with WinDbg – magicandre1981 Dec 13 '12 at 5:47
